What is DKIM?
DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail) digitally signs outgoing email messages.
It proves:
- The message was not altered
- The sender is authorized
- The message is authentic
DKIM significantly improves email trust and deliverability.
Is DKIM supported at A7 Host?
Yes. DKIM is supported and should be enabled for all domains that send email.
How does DKIM work?
- The mail server signs outgoing messages
- A public key is published in DNS
- Receiving servers validate the signature
If DKIM is missing or broken, emails are more likely to be flagged as spam.
How do I enable DKIM?
In most cases:
- DKIM is generated automatically in the hosting control panel
- Required DNS records are either created automatically or displayed for manual entry
If DNS is external, you must manually add the DKIM record.

Do not reuse DKIM records from other domains.
How long does DKIM take to activate?
- DNS propagation: up to 24 hours
- DKIM signing starts automatically once DNS is valid

Send a test email to Gmail:
- Open the message
- Click “Show original”
